This resource provides interactive access for researchers and students to a collection of images, texts and essays in the field of central European architecture and design. New external users are welcomed, but must first register to access the materials. Unless otherwise stated all images and texts are copyright of the contributors. You are welcome to search and download materials for educational use, but for copyright clearance and permission to publish, please consult one of the key contributors listed below. The project was initiated with seed funding from GLAADH (Globalising Art Architecture and Design History) by staff in the History of Art Departments at Glasgow, St Andrews and Aberdeen universities. Material relating to Lili Markus and Hungarian ceramics forms part of Juliet Kinchin's larger research project 'Pottery, Politics and Identity: Three Hungarian Ceramists and a Central European Diaspora' supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (Project No. AH/E000967/1).
Search facilities allow you to search for: objects and terminology, such as textiles, art and furniture; places, including countries, cities and districts, for example Romania and Budapest; people such as Pal Horti; and date ranges.
